Ariege Wedding : Emma and James

What a beautiful, caring, friendly and welcoming couple.

I felt so lucky when Emma and James reached out to me and asked if I was available to document with both photography and videography their unique wedding in the Ariège. I quickly realised that they were a remarkable and adorable couple. 

Their wedding was planned in the Ariège for multiple reasons. The first being that Emma's parents had their holiday home in Saurat at the foot of the Pyrenees and the second being this is where Emma and James had met many years prior. 

I arrived Saturday morning in Saurat for the getting ready of Emma and her closest family and friends. The house was bustling and there were things to photograph and film all over. It was simply lovely, and I felt very lucky to be. After the preps, it was off to the church of the village for the ceremony. This Catholic ceremony was held be a friend of the family, a recently appointed Bishop. The ceremony was lovely and very touching. 

Once finished, the couple and I went for some couple portraits and clips. One of the spots that we choose was the Pont du Diable, which is close to Foix.

Upon arriving at the domain, the Château de Longpre,  for cocktail hour, speeches and the party. The afternoon quickly led into the evening where there was a fantastic dinner, brilliant speeches and a live band that brought the ambiance to the dance floor.

This was one of the most remarkable weddings I've ever recovered, and I feel so privileged that Emma and James offered me the privilege to document their unique wedding that they celebrated in the Ariège. Thank you E&J for choosing me to document your wedding!
